SS- Cap Button.

Manufacturing of the buttons, like all military equipment of the Third Reich, was carried out according to the strictly regulated standards.The cap button was designed to be worn on the SS-VT(Feldmutze M-34)field cap and later used on other field caps. After 1936 SS uniforms were given another type of government order coding. Instead of M.../...the Order was given and through the slash,the year of the order. In our example, in the code RZM SS 1194/40, 1194 is the order number, and number 40 - year of the order. Since 1941 ,buttons are painted in the color of the cap. Button is 22mm. diameter. RZM SS 1194/40,unknown manufacturer,button is the near mint condition.
