Germany, Third Reich. A 1940 Surrender of France Commemorative Porcelain Medallion, with Case

(Erinnerungsmedaille). Constructed of white porcelain, the obverse with a central raised mobile swastika, circumscribed by a raised inscription commemorating the French surrender, the reverse with a central raised depiction of the Compiègne Wagon, circumscribed by a commemorative inscription, unmarked, measuring 48 mm in diameter, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of white card stock, the lid exterior with a maker’s mark of “STAATLICHE PORZELLAN-MANUFAKTUR MEISSEN, LEIPZIG, GOETHESTRAßE 6”, measuring 58 mm (w) x 58 mm (l) x 12 mm (h), in overall near extremely fine condition.
