Hitler Youth Proficiency Badge.

Reichsjugendfuhrer von Schirach instituted a Badge in June 1934 to serve as an incentive to the growing membership of the Hitler Youth to improve their physical and ideological proficiency. The grades of the award as follows; Iron (Class A,B and C), awarded to boys 15 years old. Bronze (Class A,B and C),awarded to 16 year old male. Silver (Aluminium) (Class A,B and C) to 17 year old male HJ members. Class (A)- athletics and gymnastics, (B)- field exercises, and (C)-political knowledge. Badge measuring 51mm(h) x 30mm(w),marked on reverse RZM M1/35,manufactured by firm Wachtler & Lange,Mittweida,and (B)- field exercises.
