NSDAP, A Golden Party Badge, Large Version, By Deschler & Sohn, S. N. # 7617

Badge is constructed of gilded Tombac with multi-colored enamels,the obverse consisting of a circular laurel leaf wreath,with a central white enameled disc bearing a black mobile swastika, within a ring of red enamel bearing inscription of "NATIONAL-SOCIALISTISCHES D.A.P."(NATIONAL SOCIALIST GERMAN WORKERS PARTY),the reverse engraved with a NSDAP membership number "7617",maker marked "Deschler & Sohn, Munchen 9",measuring 30.36 mm in diameter, weighing 13.9 grams, in extremely fine condition.The NSDAP Golden Party Badge was established by A.Hitler on October 13th, 1933,and conferred upon all Nazi Party members who had a membership number below 100,000 and unbroken service record. There are two official manufacturers of the badge, Deschler & Sohn and Joseph Fuess,both companies were based out of Munich.
