29. Waffen- Grenadier- Division der SS (Italienische Nr. 1)

Red collar insignia with silver-grey thread "fasces" was worn by the Italian SS Brigade, until authorized a black collar insigne on 15 June 1944 for Bravery shown during the Allied Anzio landings.March 9 1945 Italian SS Brigade was given Divisional status and became 29 Waffen-SS-Grenadier - Division,never reached Division strength, approximately 6000 Italians served in the WAFFEN-SS.
