SA- Wehrmannschaften (Military Training Defense Groups) Armband.

A special Hitler decree of 19 January 1939 charged the SA with the pre-and post- military training of the entire male population between the ages of 18 and 65,to exclude those considered unfit for military duty with the Armed forces. Armband was authorized for wear with the service uniform of the SA-Wehrmannschaften until 1 July 1942 when the wear of the swastika Armband was encouraged instead.It was, however, authorized for wear with civilian clothing to show service with the SA-Wehrmannschaften.Training was required at least two evenings a week and six hours on Sundays.
