The Italo - German Campaign Medal with Award Certificate.

An Italian designer by name of De Marchis produced the design of the Italo-German Campaign Medal in order that the Italian government could honor the military deeds of Rommel's Africa Korps. While not an official German award, it was considered a foreign decoration. The first awards were rendered in early 1942,and Medal achieved unofficial recognition. Due to the shortage of war materials, three variants of the Medal were produced.
