A Hamburg Hanseatic Cross and certificate to Feldwebelleutnant(lieutenant sergeant)and leader of Fuhrparkkolonne No.1 of the Navy Corps,Walter Vogler,dated to 26 October 1918. The Cross was awarded for merit in war, and could be awarded to civilians as well. Silvered bronze, partially enameled, with separately attached central medallion. There were approximately 50000 awards of the Hanseatic Cross ot Hamburg, the largest Hanseatic city. Both certificate and cross in very fine condition.
