Constructed of silverd zinc to members of Panzer units, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German National eagle clutching a mobile swastika, around a central depiction of a Panzer rolling over grassy terrain, with its left tread extending beyond the edge of the wreath, the reverse with a cramped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Rudolf Souval, Vienna, measuring 41.85mm(w)×59.94mm(h),weighing 29 grams. demonstrating loss of silver finish, very fine condition. Rudolf Souval was among the most prominent makers of many badges and crosses during the war,all produced badges by Rudolf Souval/RS only exist in zinc makes it a fair assumption that the company entered production at earliest in 1942.Besides RS three other Austria based companies entered Panzer Assault Badge/PAB production in the same way: Vienna based Fredrich Orth Wilhelm Hobacher and Salzburg based Arno Wallpach.
