Yes, collectors, this is one of the extremely rare original 3rd SS Panzer Division - TOTENKOPF Etched Commemorative K98 Bayonet.The grip plates are the black Bakelite type and they are both in perfect condition,blade also in perfect condition standard 10 inch long, grip 5 inch. Bayonet is numbered and marked with Waffenamt number and maker, mean Bayonet was made for SS,they are visible on the top of the grip WaA 547 SS code for Durkoppwerke AG,Werk,Bielefeld- DURKOPP,they produced bayonets for SS 1938-39.The scabbard is unmarked and not numbered. In November 1939 Hitler finally authorized combining the various TOTENKOPF Regiments to form a third SS division and in October 1943 TOTENKOPF was converted to a panzer division.
